I am so freak-in excited about last nights webinar. I swear every time I come off one of these webinars I am ready to take on Mike Tyson.
The guest speaker was Mr Todd Falcone, a gentleman with 20 yrs of Network Marketing experience behind him. I have to admit I had not heard of him before but I know him now! He captured my attention straight away, his words resonated with me immediately, like he was talking directly to me through the computer.
MINDSET + SKILL-SET + ACTION = $ RESULTS $
MINDSET Lets face it, being an Entrepreneur is a voluntary pursuit. You do not have the luxury of someone pushing you everyday to get up and perform. It all comes down to you. You have to decide what you’ll do today in order to grow a successful business. You control the level of success of your business. Are you looking to make a little extra money or do you want to make a life changing amount of income. For that you need to have your head in the game. You have to have the right mindset. Listen to these webinars, follow successful people who are now where you desire to be, read their blogs, purchase their various courses and e-books. You need to learn and grow as a person in order to become success in this business.
Which leads us straight onto SKILL-SET. The day you stop learning is the day your business dies. You can never know everything about on-line marketing, you need to make it a priority to take time out each day to learn a new skill set or enhance the ones your currently have. Find the true mentors out there and learn from them, follow them on Twitter, be-friend them on Facebook and Linkedin. The growth you experience both mentally and intellectually is what make this journey of financial independence so worth while (other than the $$$).
Now the 3rd step ACTION is where the rubber hits and road and where most people fail. You can learn all the skills out there snd listen to all the mentors in the world but if you don’t put all this knowledge into action then nothing will happen.
You need to take massive, consistent action and when you do great things start to happen. $ RESULTS $
Okay so now you have the mindset, the skill set and your ready to take action, what else is there? Well there is one more skill essential for success and that’s people skills. You need to get very comfortable talking with people whether on the phone or face to face. Massive exposure of your business opportunity is how you will achieve real results, again, it really is a numbers game, some will say yes, some will say no.
Practice makes perfect with this skill. If you are nervous on the phone, get on the phone! Believe me by the time you have called 100 people you won’t be nervous anymore. Mike Dillard actually took a job telemarketing in order to force himself to get over his phobia of prospecting.
There really are some amazing people out there achieving some really great things. Watch them, listen to them, learn from them and then get going.
The guest speaker during last nights webinar was Mr Mark Yarnell, a man who has spent the last 30 odd years working with Network Marketing.
Mark gave a brief a outline on his back ground. After making millions in MLM he retired into his vision of heaven. He has recently returned to Network Marketing after seeing so many of his friends who had built their wealth the more traditional way, by investing in stocks and bonds, buying real estate and hoping to cash in their 401K. All of which has crashed in the last few years leaving them broke and scared for the future. They are now looking for a back up plan, something that can bring them instant income and maybe see them through until one day when….
Mark very much maintains that this is a numbers game first and foremost. Your sole objective is to get your opportunity in front of as many people as possible, some will say NO but some will say YES. Remember you can not say the wrong thing to the right person as much as you can’t say the right thing to the wrong person. It’s so important to keep your eye on the ball and not to become distracted by well, lifes distractions.
There are 5 steps you need to do upon meeting a prospect.
Expose - Tell them how you make a living.
Present -Them with your opportunity and how it could work for them.
Validate - Bring in a 3rd party, someone who can testify how this industry has changed their life.
Enroll - Get them started
Support – Mentor and guide them into success. You can not do the work for them but you should be there to show them the ropes. This is where you’ll be glad you only pick the right people to work with. The wrong person will drag you down and consume your time.
A couple of cute ideas Mark threw out there,
Get a bumper sticker that says, ‘My Company is looking for 3 good people’
Where a badge saying ‘Ask me about my 1000lb dog’ 1 out of 5 people will ask you, breaking the ice to opening up conversation.
Ask people what they think they are financially worth. Then tell them to stop walking past that kind of income! YOU!
Mr Yarnell’s new book is called ‘The Lotus Code’ Very basically it is about how THOUGHTS -> lead to WORDS -> lead to ACTIONS -> leads to HABITS -> leads to PERSEVERANCE -> leads to SUCCESS.

People need to be aware of what their odds are for retiring wealthy verses retiring on benefits that will not give you the life style you desire. Let us be your insurance policy for when life takes a nose dive.
Final thought, there are two types of people, people who think they can and people who think they can’t. They are both right!
January 2010: I have managed to get my YouTube account suspended and I have no idea why!
I know through doing several searches to find out what may have caused this, there are a ton of people out there in the same situation. They too are not clear what ‘violation of terms and conditions’ they have been proven guilty of that actually caused the suspension, and the YouTube staff don’t seem to want to let us know. So far I have sent about 5 emails asking for more details, only to get the standard reply of “Your account was suspended for violation of the terms and conditions” blah, blah, blah.
I’ve read the terms and conditions and can find nothing that I am guilty of committing there.
Now I do have to admit that I’m not the most seasoned pro at YouTube marketing, having only recently started using it in my Marketing Plan. I simply made a short video and up loaded it onto YouTube. I didn’t send it anyone or do anything weird. Some guy who had literally signed up with YouTube that day, posted a not very nice comment on it, as he did to many other peoples videos (nice guy, really adding value to what we do here) He made a comment about ’spam’. So I’m thinking he reported me yet I’d never heard of the guy let alone be in communications with him, and again my video was certainly NOT offensive.
Hence my original comment. I’m so frustrated with YouTube. It seems they are too big to talk with the little guy- their customer. Employ some customer service people for heavens sake, it’s not like there aren’t people crying out for jobs out there across our nation.
So here I sit with no access to YouTube – all my videos of my son as a new born are on YouTube and I can’t access them, and they even give me a reason why! I have to wait a full 6 months for them to re-activate my account. Amazing, truly amazing. Thankfully YouTube is not the only video sharing site in the world.
I”d love hear from anyone who has also had this happen to them, and what was the outcome?

So how do you address this? Well, one of 3 ways.
1) Educate yourself – use the Internet to learn everything you can about lead generation and on-line marketing.
2) Join under someone who knows what their doing. Can they teach you how to take your business to a professional level?
3) Join a team that is getting the kind of results you’d like to achieve.
From a personal note, I have spent the last 4-5 years involved in Network Marketing and although I do believe in the business model here, is was hard to see so many people fail to make any kind of income. I myself couldn’t have put in anymore time or effort within the restraints of a working and family life. Many things will effect your ability to earn a decent income with traditional MLM. Can you sell? Can you recruit? Can you keep your down line producing? Even people doing it full struggling to make a really life changing income.
Yet in this last few months working with Cash Gifting it has been a whole different experience. The system sales it’s self, so the fact that I’m not a sales person is OK. When I communicate with a prospect on the phone I know they have reviewed the information so I’m literally answering their questions and getting them started if that is their desire. It is truly the easiest HBB model I’ve ever come across with financial rewards that are life changing.
Last nights webinar (16th Dec) was great as always. The host of the call was Cedrick Harris, a guy who has been involved in Network Marketing for many years but is very real and very up to date with how he conducts business. Tonight, he talked about ‘closing the deal’. He reminds us that yes we are here to serve but we are also here to make a living.
I have listened Cedrick many times on previous calls and I do like the way he conducts himself. He is loud and firm in his tone but not in an egotistical way. He portrays the passion and confidence we should all aim to have when in front of our prospects.
What did I learn from the Webinar?
That most people never pick up the phone to call their leads, choosing instead to hide behind the computer.
Remember people join people! I love the analogy used here. When you met someone for the first time and you lead with ‘here’s my business opportunity, want to join?’ It’s like saying ‘Will you marry me’ to a person you have just met. How many people would have married their husband or wife if upon the very first meeting they popped that question. NONE! They’d run a mile
You have to date each other first, you have to wine and dine, have have to get to know each other. That’s way we have blogs, web pages, Facebook accounts so your prospects can get to know you and what you have to offer. So then when you do call them, they already feel like they know you and boom your off. Makes sense right!
Other facts: 1.4 Billions dollars is spent annually across the globe within Network marketing. 9 out of 10 spend more than they make! (They need our help)
And to not worry so much about your competition with this industry. Millions of people are looking to make ways to make money from home. Spend a little time thinking about who your target audience will be, ask yourself how you can help them and go forth from there.
