How to Prospect Events Correctly.
I’ve noticed recently whenever I talk to people at Marketing or Business Events about their home based business or Network Marketing business opportunity, they are so excited and eager to share, all they want to do is tell as many people as possible all about it, in full detail. Makes sense right? Wrong, this is not a good idea, What! Really?
When you utilize networking functions and events the way most people do. The last thing people want to hear is all about your business. You have a one in million chance of signing anyone up into your business at one of these events, so do the opposite to everyone else and leave your flyers and information packs home. Instead, go with empty pockets and gather all the information you can on the people you meet there. Spend your time socializing and creating relationships, this will make you stand out from the crowd. While the rest of the group is busy pitching to each other, you’ll be there asking questions, listening, creating relationships…. ahhhh get it now! Then once you get home, shoot them a quick “great speaking with you” email and follow up with a phone call the next day!
That is how it is done my friends. Easy, simple and comfortable.
